Girls just want to have fun. A great-grandmother had her wish granted after a naked butler arrived to celebrate her 106th birthday.
Norah Shaw has seen quite a lot of change in the world and experienced a full life but she’s never been served by a naked butler before. That’s where Eddy Betteridge comes in. He rolled up to Shaw’s East Midlands care home in nothing but an apron and a face mask. Safety first!
Despite rocking nothing on his behind, Shaw couldn’t stop staring at his chest. “Eddy was tall, had nice eyes and was very attractive. He had no hair on his chest at all, which impressed me. I had never seen anything like it.” Shaw said.
The gift came about when Norah joked to care home staff that all she wanted for her big day was a “hunky man.” Shaw was also served sandwiches, scones and glasses of bubbles as part of a birthday present from her daughter Gill Shaw.
“I was very shocked when he turned around, because he had no underwear on. It was quite amusing,” Shaw said.
She added: “I had to keep checking, so I asked him to get some sandwiches.”
The mum-of-three also has seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She celebrated her 106th birthday with family members, fellow care home residents and of course, Eddy for the saucy afternoon tea.
Despite never getting remarried after her husband’s death in 1994, Gill said her mother is still “fun and flirty” to this day. “She’s a little bit cheeky, she’s got a twinkle in her eye and she’s always game for a laugh,” Gill said.
