A New Meaning to the Phrase ‘Pillow Talk’

Say goodnight to Patrick Warburton? Days Inn by Wyndham has created a new “complimentary” amenity for select properties across the United States.

Actor and voiceover artist Patrick Warburton, most famous for his role as David Puddy in Seinfeld, is the voice of the hotel brand’s talking pillows. These bright yellow pillows serve compliments when a guest hits the “press here” button on the top corner.

“We wanted a voice that was recognizable and that would instantly brighten guests’ days,” senior director of marketing and operations at Days Inn by Wyndham, Anthony Pizzuto, said.

Warburton sends out all the good vibes with phrases like, “Whoa, those are some awesome PJs” and, “I love having pillow talk with you.” You can thank Days Inn for giving pillow talk a whole new meaning.

Although most of the phrases the pillow says are meant to be sweet and innocent, there are a few questionable remarks thrown in. “Mmmm… Have I told you your hair smells fabulous today? Yes, it does. I don’t know what you’re using but it’s just amazing,” is just one of the more interesting lines the pillow has to offer.

According to the company’s press conference: “Compliments are scientifically proven to go a long way in brightening someone’s day. In fact, a recent study from the Society of Personality and Social Psychology, shows they “reduce stress, lift spirits, and give a sense of renewed confidence.”
