A Washing Machine for Your Fingers

Snacking on potato chips can be addicting but the grease they leave on your fingertips isn’t ideal. Lay’s is known for creating weird and wacky chip flavors like deviled eggs, freeze pops and oysters. The world’s bestselling potato chip brand is now launching a limited edition miniature washing machine to eliminate oily fingertips for good.

Although seen as a strange idea, the contraption fits right into Lay’s wheelhouse. The mini washing machine looks uncanny and it pops in the classic Lay’s color scheme.

To activate the washing machine, all you have to do is press the on/off button. Next, place your oily fingertips into the machine and wait for the magic to happen. The system uses a system that sprays atomized alcohol when it detects something inside the machine. The alcohol comes from a refillable tank located at the bottom of the washing machine.

The Lay’s finger washing machine measures 5.9 inches in height and 4.3 inches in width and charges using a USB Type-C port. Unfortunately, only five of the kitschy devices will be made available through a special lottery in Japan.
