All you can eat restaurants are a great way to taste a little bit of everything in one meal. Despite all their perks, apparently, there is such a thing as eating too much.
A woman posted on TikTok about her all you can eat buffet experience. According to Poppy, she was enjoying her time at a restaurant when the bill arrived that showed she had been charged twice for her all you can eat meal. After questioning the waiter, they told her she had eaten too much.
Poppy had responded to another video asking for people to share their experiences of fat-shaming. The TikToker was able to find the humor in the story now but at the time, she obviously refused to pay twice.
There are plenty of other stories out there just like Poppy’s. Several people have made videos responding to the same TikTok she did, each telling their tales of fat-shaming.
One person said: “Patient asking me when the baby was due, I said it’s just cake, he was mortified, hopefully, it taught him you never ask, not until the baby’s comin’ out.”
Another person said: “Went into a Victoria’s Secret and a staff member came over to me, looked me up and down, said ‘we don’t sell YOUR size here’ – I left, never been back.”
It costs nothing to be nice and jumping back to Poppy’s experience, maybe a restaurant that advertises offering customers an all you can eat meal shouldn’t be the one to comment on how much someone is eating.
