Alligator Lifted Using Tow Truck

Alligators are large beasts that sometimes don’t feel like moving. One alligator that found its way to the middle of a Texas road was so large that the only way the authorities could move it was by using a tow truck.

Harris County Constable Precinct 4 posted about the incident on Facebook. They said officers responded to a neighborhood in Atascocita, Texas, early in the morning when a 12-foot alligator was spotted wandering the area.

“Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to the 13800 block of N Lake Branch Lane in the Waters Edge subdivision in Atascocita in reference to a 12-foot alligator in the middle of the road,” they wrote.

Authorities arrived to discover the large gator chilling in the middle of the road with no inclination to move. A specialist wrangler was then called to the scene with a pickup truck and was able to capture and restrain the animal.

The alligator was then lifted into the bed of a pickup truck by a tow truck because of the sheer size of the reptile. Police said the alligator was turned over to locate animal control officials to be relocated.
