Company Launches MouthPad for Handsfree Internet Browsing

Innovation can be seen with computer upgrades. Augmental, a tech company, has built a MouthPad that allows people to use their mouths to control the computer while their fingers can rest. Saliva smeared all of the gadgets can be a dream come true for their target customers.

Most MouthPad users aren’t able to use their hands and seek alternative ways to navigate their computers. There are also multitaskers who just need more hands to perform their tasks and settle with the MouthPad to do the scrolling while their fingers take on another task.

The MouthPad is equipped with a “3D-printed waterproof dental resin body along with a microprocessor, battery, Bluetooth module, and a circuit board with integrated pressure sensors.” The pad weighs about 0.3 ounces and is about 0.7 millimeters thick.

These tools are custom-made, with a 3D scan of the inside of the customer’s mouth, to ensure a good fit. After it’s set, the product covers their upper teeth and the top of their mouth. The MouthPad can be removed easily when people have had enough of the tool.

Also, while wearing the device, people have reported no difficulties communicating so users can still hold a conversation as the MouthPad does its thing.

The MouthPad functions by detecting the position and pressure of the user’s tongue and transfers that data into commands with a machine-learning algorithm. After that, the user can use their laptop or mobile phone to surf the web, send emails, play video games, etc. Anything that can be done with the traditional mouse can be done with this MouthPad.

This tool is compatible with iOS, Android, Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems. A single charge can last for approximately five hours of use.

Interested buyers can add their names to the waitlist to grab the product while the supplies last.
