To work for one company and not miss a single day of work in 27 years is a remarkable feat. A Burger King employee did just that but was rewarded with nothing but a sad goodie bag for his years of service.
In a video posted on Reddit, the employee reveals what the goodie bag contained. Posted by FastRitz, the caption of the video read: “This man dedicated 27 years of service to Burger King and wasn’t even rewarded with $27 worth of trinkets in his ‘goodie bag.'”
The hard-working man received a movie ticket, a bag of Reese’s Pieces, a clear Starbucks tumbler, a lanyard, two pens, a couple of keychains and two packs of Lifesavers.
The employee seems grateful in the video and very proud of his accomplishments but it left many to question the bag and items it contained. Some people thought it might have been a gift from his co-workers and not management, while others thought much worse.
One person wrote: “Nobody bought anything. Those are the giveaway bags offered at special events or by hiring managers. Corporate buys that stuff by the case to give away.”
Another wrote: “And he’s so humble and kind about it… He deserves so much more.”
After all those dedicated years of service and incredible attendance, it’s safe to say that this employee deserves better.
