Driver Wearing Beer Can Costume Arrested for Drunk Driving

When you’ve had a few too many to drink, it’s probably best to not show off that fact by drawing attention to it. A driver wearing a beer can costume was arrested by police in Kansas for drunk driving after completing a field sobriety test.

Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputies pulled over a suspected drunk driver heading northbound on Interstate 35 during Cinco de Mayo. When they asked the driver to exit his car for a field sobriety test, deputies discovered that the man was wearing a Bud Light beer can costume over his clothes.

“A career in law enforcement is exciting, and you get to experience something new every day. Sometimes you see things you can’t believe!” the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office wrote in a Facebook post about the incident.

Deputies eventually arrested the driver on suspicion of driving under the influence and brought him to the Franklin County, Kansas Jail in Ottawa. The suspect has since posted bond and is no longer in police custody.
