A woman tried to play on her vulnerable side to ward off the officials but got caught red-handed by the police in Nizhny Tagil.
Irina Volk, the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, released a statement that a woman from the Krasnoyarsk Territory was drug trafficking. She faked being a mother to children to avoid any suspicions.
The woman was arrested after she was found walking with her children, one of them was a baby in a diaper with overalls and a hat. At first glance, it wasn’t strange that she was holding the baby in her arms until authorities got a peek at the child’s face.
Turns out, it was a cat in a jumpsuit and inside the cat, there were hidden drugs. “From the coverall envelope, the police also extracted five bundles with white powder, which turned out to be N-methylephedrone. In addition, the operatives found 12 bookmarks that the detainee managed to make during the day,” Volk said.
The suspect was led by an anonymous coordinator and he directed her to the place where the drugs were stored. Her responsibility was to pick up a large batch, break it into small packages and then create bookmarks.
Following this incident, officials conducted a search of her residence. Electronic scales and materials for packing drugs were discovered at the place. The woman is currently in custody for enlisting an innocent cat for her drug trafficking missions.
