If you thought smartwatches must have some appealing smart features, that’s not always the case. Tama-Kyu, a Japanese capsule toy maker, decided to go back to stay on top of the competition and the manufacturer distinguishes itself by branding their watch as the world’s dumbest smartwatch.
Introducing the Stone Watch, which resembles the smartwatch but lacks the features found in a traditional smartwatch. This accessory doesn’t tell time or give any insight into heart rate measurement or smartphone connectivity.
There is no display so it’s essentially just a black piece of plastic with a silicone band that is an empty accessory that doesn’t do its job. You can look fashionable while fumbling in your pocket for your phone to check the time.
There are a variety of band options with five different colors and the selling price is just $3. It’s a cheap toy and the price makes up for the lack of features.
Customers can flash their wrists to impress people but hopefully, no one asks the wearer for the time.
