Man Assaults Newfoundland Officers With Block of Cheese

You don’t want to get in between a man and his block of cheese. An angry man decided to assault patrol officers in Newfoundland with a block of cheese.

According to the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, the incident occurred when officers responded to a disturbance at a residence in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada, at around 9 p.m. on May 9, 2024.

A media release said that they encountered an angry man who then assaulted the officers with “a block of cheese.” Police arrested the man and charged him with several things, including assault, assaulting a police officer and breach of probation.

The irate man was taken to a lockup facility in St. John’s to await a court appearance. The RNC did not release any more information regarding whether the officers were injured or what kind of cheese was used during the incident.
