A solo plane ride isn’t exclusive to those elite individuals with deep pockets. Sometimes it takes a little chance to swing good fortune to a lucky traveler.
Robbie Allen was traveling from Sydney, Australia, to the island of Fiji. A tropical destination awaited but the journey started off with a bang when he discovered that his six-hour Virgin Airlines flight was completely empty.
The flight departed as per the scheduled time but Allen didn’t need to share the air journey with other people. He had the entire experience to himself and even shared his adventures in a viral TikTok video. In the caption, he wrote: “It was creepy at first but then amazing, just wish I hadn’t already paid for business class.”
He explained: “I was literally the only person on the whole plane. The captain came and sat next to me and talked to me. The staff just gave me whatever I wanted. I have the whole plane for myself – it’s for my birthday, I’m the VIP.”
While a simple economy-class ticket would have been sufficient for this trip, Allen was treated as a VIP member with free Prosecco, an entire bowl of snacks and anything else his heart desired. The cabin crew was solely focused on his journey since there were no other passengers calling for their attention.
