Man Punches Walmart Greeter for Angry Girlfriend

You’re just asking for trouble if you punch someone. A North Carolina man punched a Walmart greeter after his girlfriend became angry at the worker when she was asked to show her receipt.

Vincent Battaglia told police officers that he was checking receipts yesterday at an entrance to the Walmart Supercenter in High Point, North Carolina, when he was confronted by a man who was “upset that [Battaglia] had stopped his girlfriend earlier at the exit.”

The 68-year-old employee told the man that “he was just doing his job,” which caused Tomeisha Robbs to begin yelling at her boyfriend to “take care of him.” Her boyfriend, Trevon Waden, then punched the elderly victim in “his left eye which caused him to fall to the ground and strike his head.”

According to police, the couple fled the store “without offering aid to the victim who had injuries to his face and head.” The pair were arrested at their residence and charged with assault. Waden was also cited for failure to appear in court in connection with a separate criminal matter.
