Motorcycle Chariot Racing for Daredevil Riders

When you mesh the ancient world with the modern world, it turns into a strange mix with a confused and entertained audience.

Chariot racing, famously seen throughout European history, gets revamped where riders leave the horses behind for motorcycles. Jack Field, a professional stunt rider in Australia, is dismissing the risks associated with this extreme sport and turning the gears for a nail-biting show.

In this year’s Sydney Royal Easter Show, motorcycle chariot racing is the highlight with a live audience watching the sport. As part of the performance, two riders attempt to steer their chariots while controlling a couple of Husqvarna motorcycles that are riding up to 100 horsepower.

The stunt rider was fascinated by the motorcycle chariot rides in the 1920s and 1930s and he wanted to replicate them. Field designed the chariot with two motorcycles connected by a number of steel bars, and a pair of long sticks attached to each of the handlebars to control the throttles.

On the flip side, PETA will be off their backs since horses are out of the equation.
