Mystery Object Removed From Highway

It’s pretty hard for a huge object to just randomly show up somewhere. Transportation officials in New Brunswick, Canada, are unsure as to where a large metal object that was sitting next to a major highway came from.

The metal object, which looks like some sort of storage tank, was found at the side of Highway 7, between Saint John and Oromocto, near Base Gagetown. It remained in place for about a month before the New Brunswick Department of Transportation said that the object was removed from its location earlier this week.

Officials are investigating the object. “At this point, it really is a mystery we are looking into,” department spokeswoman Alycia Bartlett said. “Obviously, we would like to find out what happened, too.”

According to Canadian Forces spokesperson Jamie Donovan, the object is not believed to be military property at all. AIM Recycling Atlantic also said it is not aware of any large metal items being lost on their way to the plant’s location. The mystery remains unsolved for now.
