The thrill of skydiving is not limited to a younger demographic.
Raymonde Sullivan, a retired nurse who served on the front lines in World War II, celebrated her 100th milestone birthday up in the air.
Sullivan jumped out of a plane at Sky Dive Sebastian with the drop zone located in the City of Sebastian on the east coast of Florida. She enjoyed the breathtaking view of the Sebastian, Florida Inlet, and the Atlantic Ocean.
When asked about her experience, she said: “I had never done it, and I’ve done a lot of things in 100 years, so I thought I must do it while I can.”
The bird’s-eye view was a terrifying experience for her. Can we blame her? It is a blessing to be able to walk at that age — skydiving takes it to another level.
Sullivan will not be going for round two of skydiving, although it was a joyful one-time experience.
After completing her skydiving jump, she celebrated her birthday at The Castle in Fort Pierce with her loved ones.
Sullivan is living proof that an adventurous spirit only gets better with age.
