News Anchor Swallows Fly on Live TV

Those pesky insects are back at it again. This time, it was a fly that flew its way into the mouth of a news anchor during a live television broadcast.

Farah Nasser, a host for Canada’s Global News network, swallowed a bug on live TV and somehow maintained her composure while reading the news. Nasser shared the clip of herself on Twitter, saying: “Sharing because we all need a laugh these days. Turns out it’s not just @fordnation, I swallowed a fly on air today.”

Many people applaud Nasser for how well she was able to handle the incident. Instead of coughing up a lung, she took one big gulp before finishing her news segment. “I could feel it fluttering in the back of my throat as I finished that introduction,” she said.

Insects have been loving getting the spotlight on Canadian television. This incident comes shortly after Ontario Premier Doug Ford swallowed a bee during a televised press conference.
