Nonprofit Breaks Record for Largest Published Book

Reading is a hobby many people like to enjoy. Who doesn’t love curling up with a good book before bed?

This book might be a bit too large to read sitting down but it did break the Guinness World Record for the largest published book. The large novel measures in at seven feet tall and 11 feet wide and weighs 496 pounds.

iWRITE Literacy Organization, The Bryan Museum and Ordinary People Change the World teamed up for this project. Based on the bestselling series by Brad Melzer and Christopher Eliopoulos, the book titled I Am Texas is a compilation of Texas-themed stories and artwork from 1,000 Texas students between the third to 12th grades.

The mega book was certified by the Guinness World Records and the organizers are planning on heading on a tour with the book across the state. It will be featured in the November 24 H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade in Houston, Texas.
