Please Arrest Me Officer

To cure boredom, oftentimes people will eventually find an activity to do. A Florida woman requested to be arrested by police because she had nothing else going on.

Deputies from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office were handling a separate call outside of a St. Petersburg bar when Chelsi Leahy walked up to a corporal asking to be arrested. She allegedly asked, “Can you arrest me? I have drugs on me,” according to court documents.

The 30-year-old then “removed two small baggies from her pockets” and handed them to the police, explaining that they contained methamphetamine. A field test did confirm that the substance was indeed methamphetamine.

Leahy was arrested for possession of a controlled substance for carrying two grams of methamphetamine. According to a criminal complaint, it’s noted that Leahy also showed an “Indication of Drug Influence.”

The woman is currently being held in the county jail with a $750 bond. In the past, Leahy has been arrested for narcotics possession; theft; tampering with a motor vehicle; forgery; and leaving the scene of an accident.
