Raw Meat Experiment Reaches New Milestone

It’s been over 170 days since Chris Erm started his Raw Meat Experiment, where he eats raw meat at Whole Foods for as many days in a row as he can. His worried followers claim he’s on the “verge of insanity” after almost six months of consuming nothing but uncooked animal products.

Although his followers have concerns, Erm has no plans of stopping his experiment any time soon. Since starting his raw meat journey in November 2021, he’s amassed 144,000 followers and shares his daily meals via Instagram Reels.

His diet mostly consists of uncooked steak, fish and chicken, alongside egg yolks, raw animal milk and only “natural” water. To many surprises, Erm actually started eating only raw animal products because of health reasons.”When I started eating steak and eggs for breakfast, instead of bagels and smoothies, I felt full for most of the day, and stable, instead of getting dizzy from a carb crash, [and] my pain started to go away,” he wrote in an Instagram post.

In a more recent post, he claimed that “meat is the only food that nobody has bad reactions to (except for those lone star ticks invented by big vegetable) and dead animals are the only food group that have all the micronutrients a human needs.”

He continued by saying: “I’ve learned a lot about nature, farming, soil, history, nutrition etc, by following the carnivore ppl and reading their books.”

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, consuming raw meat could result in food poisoning, salmonella, Clostridium perfringens, E. coli, Listeria monocytogenes and Campylobacter.

The longer the challenge goes, the more his followers seem to comment on his diet. One user wrote: “Drink more water bro,” while another wrote: “Look at this page and tell me if he’s crazy, lost his mind or on the verge of insanity.”

Some even claim he’s doing this all for attention: “The only way they could process what I was showing them was by convincing themselves that you must be violently ill and dying every night and then coming back and doing it again the next day purely ‘for the followers.'”
