Severed Hand Found on Michigan Highway Deemed as Fake

Cleaning up the community can result in discovering some unwanted items. While Michigan State Police troopers were doing a routine highway clean-up, they found what turned out to be a realistic-looking severed hand made of rubber.

Troopers were working together to clean up trash from the side of U.S. 131 in Michigan when they spotted a bloody severed limb among the litter. Fortunately, after taking a closer look, the arm was actually a fake covered in artificial blood.

MSP Seventh District posted on Twitter about the incident, writing: “Cadillac Post Troopers have been busy this week cleaning up the freeway. They’re not writing citations. They’re literally cleaning the freeway. They had an interesting find… it’s rubber.”

Regardless of whether or not the hand was fake, it definitely has to be up there with one of the weirdest things troopers have found while cleaning up trash.
