Shopper Concerned Over Depop Parcel Packaging

When using online secondary retailers like Depop or eBay to shop, you never know exactly what your package is going to look like. Rather than foot the additional costs to purchase delivery packaging, many sellers turn to alternative options from their own homes.

A woman ordered an item from Depop and was stunned by the box her purchase came in. After making a purchase on the second-hand website, the customer received the package in what was once a box of Boot’s ultra-slim maternity breast pads.

Clearly upset about the situation, the buyer reached out to the seller to confront them about the packaging. She also shared the conversation she had with the seller about the packaging, which made its rounds on social media.

Since going viral online, several people have started sharing their horror stories of ordering clothing second-hand. One user wrote: “I once got a belt that came in a bread bag that still had bread in it. I see no problem at all with this box lol.

Another added: “It’s a box. Better than the person who sent it in a Pringles tube… like out of the two I would prefer this than my item smelling of BBQ Pringles lol.”

Others were upset that the woman shared the pictures to begin with as they weren’t that big of a deal. One user commented: “Women lactate… shocking!”

Another said: “She be saving the planet and mfs tryna embarrass her??? Grow up.”
