With Halloween fast approaching, many have put the finishing touches on their spooky-themed yards. Such enticing decorations have left some thieves unable to control themselves, leaving many skeletons getting stolen from people’s yards.
One thief was caught on a security camera taking a skeleton and a rocking chair from outside a home in North Austin, Texas. The skeleton’s original owners thought he’d be okay zip tied to the chair but that wasn’t the case as both the rocking chair were taken from their rightful home.
The criminal clearly had some nerve as he approached the home in broad daylight to nab the Halloween decor. The suspect can then be seen loading the skeleton in the back of a black truck with a waiting driver inside.
The owner of the home has filed a police report over the incident. He claims that he’s now out about $250 for the skeleton and rocking chair.
Austin Police are asking anyone who recognizes the suspect or the truck to call their station.
