Speedy Man Ties Three Pairs of Shoelaces in Under 10 Seconds

In some public achievements, world records may build upon a skill that was first learnt in childhood with the support of parents. Alvaro Martin Mendieta, a shoe-tying expert, secured the world record for tying a bowtie on three pairs of shoelaces in 9.99 seconds.

Mendieta took a chance at achieving this record in celebration of Guinness World Records Day (GWR Day) 2022 and he was successful in his attempt. He beat the world record in Vaciamadrid, Spain.

In the video, viewers get a glimpse of three pairs of colorful shoes lined up on a table and Mendieta is whipping through the laces at top speed. There was no time to delay when a world record is just seconds away. Once he completed the task with the dramatic background music, his hands clench into a fist to embrace the victory.

If he wants to pivot into a new career path, Mendieta can lend a hand in the education sector with young kindergarteners. With his speedy fingers, they will be out for recess in no time.
