Speedy Toothbrush Makes Its Debut in the U.S.

If you’re on any type of social media, you’ve probably seen the “10-second toothbrush.” The Y-Brush, a mouthguard-style toothbrush, was developed by a French company that claims your teeth will be clean in just 10 seconds.

The product recently launched on Amazon in the United States after taking over Europe. While the first brush debuted in 2017, the company has since gone into production in dozens of countries. Most people love the product because of how short the process actually is, especially when brushing your teeth twice a day for two minutes is what’s recommended by dental professionals.

The Y-Brush comes with 35,000 soft nylon filaments that brush all the teeth simultaneously in 10 seconds with a 45-degree angle against the teeth making it super easy to clean your pearly whites.

“A standard 2-minute brushing time means that you spend between 2 and 4 seconds (depending on the number of teeth) on each of your teeth. Thanks to its U-shape, Y-Brush brushes all the teeth of one jaw at the same time,” the company says on its website.

The cheapest option available to American consumers is the NylonStart Toothbrush, which starts at $85.99 plus shipping and comes with one NylonStart electric toothbrush, one brush head (size S or M), and a charging cable.

The NylonBlack Toothbrush runs customers $138.99 but comes with four sonic vibration modes: “soft (15 sec), normal (10 sec), intensive (5 sec), and unlimited.” There’s even a version for children called the NylonStart Kid Toothbrush. This bad boy is available for $106.99.
