These days, many people install home security systems to ensure that their family is safe. A man who installed a security system has been woken up on several occasions because of a creepy critter that has taken a liking to the home.
Dean Gordon was asleep the first time he was alerted that someone or something had made its way into the frame on his security camera. After being woken up at 1:40 a.m. when his phone buzzed with a notification, Gordon could barely believe his drowsy eyes.
“I thought it was a human hand and I was like, ‘Hold on. Let me watch it again,'” Gordon said. “Then I said, ‘That looks like an octopus.'”
The next night, the same creature came to Gordon’s Lehigh Acres, Florida, residence. It was then that he finally uncovered the mystery behind the strange critter.
“The second video was from around front,” Gordon said. “That’s when he stopped and I saw the leg and I think the eye. You could see the frog’s legs, big eye.”
It turns out that the creepy critter was a Cuban tree frog, which can be found all over the area. They tend to climb trees but in this case, it was Gordon’s cameras.
It still remains a mystery as to why the frogs love his cameras so much but one night, he might find out. “They let me sleep last night. I’m not sure what’s going to happen tonight,” Gordon said.
