Have you ever wondered what dreams taste like? Apparently, Coca-Cola seems to have found an answer with their latest experimental, limited-time flavor: Dreamworld.
“We wanted to create a dream-inspired drink that was recognizably Coca-Cola but with additional cues that bring to life the playfulness and brightness of dreams. We took inspiration from the technicolor world of dreams, adding a dash of vibrant flavors to our great Coca-Cola taste,” a company spokesperson said.
Before Dreamworld, Coca-Cola Creations — Coke’s new innovation platform — rolled out Starlight (space-flavored) and Byte (pixel-flavored). Dreamworld and other Creations products focus on a concept rather than a flavor and are a way to spark conversation around Coca-Cola. Each Creations flavor is launched along with a specialized online experience.
Dreamworld cans and bottles include QR codes that provide access to a virtual, augmented-reality “music experience.” People can listen to music from a DJ avatar and play games and also get digital Dreamworld-inspired outfits for their avatars to wear online.
Dreamworld is the fourth drink to come out of Creations, which has given the company a way to shine a spotlight on its core product, while also attempting to bring in a younger crowd.
Starting August 15, 2022, people who want to try the beverage can buy it in the United States and Canada for a limited time, in both regular and zero-sugar options.
