Thief Hides Out in Unusual Place

Having the right hideaway can make or break a successful heist. Although one thief got creative, he still ended up getting caught by police. Authorities said the wanted car thief was hiding in a giant stuffed teddy bear.

Joshua Dobson was accused by Greater Manchester Police Rochdale of both stealing a vehicle and not paying for fuel on the same day back in May 2022. Area police went to look for Dobson in July 2022, where he was eventually found in a giant teddy bear.

“When we went to arrest him, our officers noticed a large bear breathing in the address before finding Dobson hidden inside,” local authorities shared in a post on Facebook.

The 18-year-old was officially sentenced to nine months in prison for theft of a motor vehicle, driving while disqualified and not paying for fuel. Local police noted that Dobson is now “stuffed behind bars” and “hopefully, he has a bearable time inside.”
