Wardrobe Choice Gone Wrong

Making a cheeky remark with your choice of t-shirt when convicted of a crime isn’t the best way to plead for your innocence. An Alabama man did just that when he wore a t-shirt that read “I’m Too Good for drugs!” after he was arrested for possessing methamphetamine and narcotics paraphernalia.

Allen Burnett was nabbed by authorities in his home of Ashville, Alabama, which is a small city around 45 miles from the city of Birmingham. The 60-year-old must have seen his arrest coming but still wanted to plead for his innocence in any way that he could. He was wearing the purple t-shirt when arrested by officers.

Burnett was charged with the drug counts previously mentioned and taken to the St. Clair County jail. He did end up getting released early in the morning after posting the $3,500 bond set.

Surprisingly, this isn’t the first defendant to wear a hilarious shirt while getting arrested. Other criminals have worn shirts that have announced “I Love Crystal Meth” and “Who Needs Drugs? No Seriously, I Have Drugs.” Not sure if these shirts helped their case any.
