When on probation, it’s best to obey any and all laws to show off your best behavior. One North Carolina woman clearly didn’t understand the assignment when she was arrested for having illegal drugs in her possession during a meeting with her probation officer.
Tabitha Jeanne Paul was meeting her probation officer in New Bern, North Carolina, as expected when they discovered the drugs she had in her possession. Not surprisingly, Paul was on probation for felony trafficking a schedule I controlled substance, felony possession with intent to sell a schedule I controlled substance and felony possession of a schedule I controlled substance.
The 31-year-old had planned to sell and or deliver the drugs, which is why she had them on her. She has now been served with probation violation warrants and charged with felony possession with intent to sell/deliver heroin, possession with intent to sell/deliver methamphetamine, felony possession with intent to sell/deliver acid, felony possession of heroin, felony possession of a controlled substance on jail premises and possession of a schedule III controlled substance.
Paul was put in jail at the Craven County Confinement Facility under a $300,000 secured bond.
