Many people have been turning to AI to help them with making everyday decisions. One woman revealed that she used an artificial intelligence system to decide whether or not to leave her husband for a man she was having an affair with.
Identified as “Sarah”, the 37-year-old woman has been having an affair for the past six months with a man she met on IllicitEncounters.com, a website known for those wanting to break their marriage vows. Working in the tech sector, Sarah began using Chat:GPT to help her better understand the decisions she was making around the affair.
Sarah and her husband had been married for five years but the constant problems in their relationship were draining. Not sure if she wanted to stay in the marriage, Sarah asked the AI app to respond with her ideal “fairytale” end to the affair and what she should do.
She explained: “I essentially asked the app to write me a story based on my current situation and what the person in the story should do in a failing marriage while experiencing the excitement of the affair I’ve been having.
“What’s fascinating was how it picked up so well on my dilemma and even considered my own happiness. The end of the story told me I should put my happiness first and leave my husband, which I’ve now done.”
Now living with her lover, Sarah added that the AI system gave her the “push” she needed to leave her miserable marriage. “It gave me the push I needed to make the jump and leave a relationship that had been in the doldrums for a long time.
“It’s certainly unorthodox and not something I’d insist other women in similar situations to try. It was more of a case that I’d been around this technology and it worked for me,” she said.
