Here’s just another reason why you shouldn’t leave food in your car. A Florida woman was in for a Valentine’s Day surprise when she found that the inside of her car had been ripped to shreds by a bear.
Cassidy Simoes from Golden Gate Estates, Florida, said that she woke up on February 14, 2024, to find that a bear had ripped up the inside of her car because her boyfriend had placed candy in the front seat.
“I got woken up at 3:30 in the morning. My boyfriend was like, ‘Something got into the car. It looks like a bear got into there,'” Simoes said. The bear apparently tore up the entire interior of the passenger’s side.
“I can’t even open the door at all or roll the windows down. Nothing,” Simoes said.
The bear had been drawn to Simoes’ vehicle because her boyfriend had left chocolates on the seat as a sweet Valentine’s Day surprise. Maybe he’ll help her foot the bill for the interior renovations now needed.
