Company Introduces Easter Special with 23 Carrot Gold Egg

Chocolate eggs are basic and easy to buy since they are scattered everywhere in supermarkets. The company Marks and Spencer wanted to stand out with an unusual product to delight its customers so they went with a “23 Carrot Gold Egg” to mark the Easter holiday.

Even though the makers thought it was a good idea by sharing it on their Instagram page, the two million followers are a mixed crowd with a slightly confused audience.

In the photo, there is an orange carrot positioned in the middle with bunny ears placed beside it for aesthetics. It could be marketed as the perfect snack to pair with an afternoon coffee.

M&S wrote in the caption: “So who’s ready to start talking about Easter? Introducing our eggs-ellent ’23 Carrot Gold Egg’.”

They added: “Who’s going to be picking one of these up this week?!”

The holiday promotional food item is made from golden blond chocolate and coated in edible gold leaf. You can essentially eat the 23-carat gold that’s shaped to resemble a carrot. For British people who love the added sugar, it comes with salted caramel-filled chocolate bunny ears to satisfy the sweet tooth.

The comments section was filled with people expressing confusion and jokes about the product. A person wrote: “Who on Earth thought that ‘carrot’ was a good idea? Are you certain it isn’t a Valentine’s ‘top shelf’ item?”

Some people believed this product will be more fitting in a sex shop than a department store. Another added: “Looking like an advert for Ann Summers! I thought you were better than this M&S.”

Others agreed: “Looks rather phallic to me.”

Are we keeping this carrot in the dining area or bedroom? The spot to take a bite is up for debate. British shoppers are encouraged to load up on the veggies with this finger-licking carrot.
