Criminal Spotted Dangling From High-Rise Building

It’s not only superheroes who are swinging their arms in high-rise buildings. Sometimes the bad guys try to flex their muscles up in the air.

Michael Perry, a 37-year-old suspect from Boston, tried to dive out a 12-floor window of a high-rise apartment building in Boston as part of his escape plans. Police arrested Perry before he could get up to more mischief.

Cops were called in for a wellness check for a resident at a residential building. When they got to the place, they knocked on the door. No one answered but they managed to gain entry and found the resident of the unit dead with a suspect in close proximity.

According to the prosecutor: “When police got there, they found the resident of the apartment deceased in the apartment with significant signs of physical trauma. Mr. Perry was farther back in the apartment. He had moved things to obscure himself. They called out to him, asked him if he had any weapons, and his response was ‘Come and find out.'”

Following the physical threat, SWAT officers confronted him and the competitive spirit is never encouraged with trained officials. “At that point, he dropped the weapons. He then jumped out the window,” Assistant District Attorney Ian Polumbaum said.

They saw the suspect hanging upside down, outside of the window. Good thing he decided to wear underwear because the undies were his makeshift safety harness and it was the only thing holding him up from the window handle.

Officers had to save him before making the arrest. They opened the window to hold onto his legs while other officers darted to the 11th floor and shattered the glass window to pull Perry into safety.

Perry’s charges are still up in the air and are to be confirmed. “He’s not yet charged with anything other offense, except for assault with a dangerous weapon. My understanding is there is an autopsy being conducted, and the commonwealth will determine whether or not additional charges are warranted,” said defense attorney Aviva Jeruchim.

Perry has a criminal history of violent incidents and this isn’t the first time he jumped out of a window to flee from the police. Each time, he pulls off a stunt before counting the bars.
