Customer preferences change on a whim and one man got employees confused when he requests an item with absolutely nothing.
In a viral tweet, the user shared a phone screenshot of his DoorDash McDonald’s checkout order. The caption reads: “OK let’s try this again, ordering a nothing burger from Mcdonald’s. This time nothing else in the order. Will they cancel it? Deliver an empty bag? I am doing this so you don’t have to.”
This person was ready to test the order by dropping some change for a bag of nothing. At this point, it’s just a donation to the multi-billion dollar company.
The tweet did get attention from other users who are chiming in with other suggestions. One person wrote: “Next time keep just the salt.”
In a follow-up tweet, he shared the reply from the restaurant stating: “Restaurant is confused as to what you want for your order.”
He ended up paying $2 for a brown paper bag as he updates: “THEY DELIVERED AN EMPTY WRAPPER!!!!”
