Full-Face Tattooed Mom Banned From Child’s School Nativity

Ink all over the face is a big no-no, and in this story, it’s not the child that went overboard with the ink. Melissa Sloan, a 45-year-old mom with a full face of tattoos, was refused entry into her children’s nativity over her appearance. Instead of sitting inside, she was told to watch her child from the window.

It’s not just the school nativity that she’s banned from seeing, as she is on the blacklist for other school events.

When it’s hard to make out the features on the face due to the scribbling, the artwork has crossed the line and gone overboard. This tattoo addict has more than 800 tattoos across her face and body and confesses to getting around three tattoos a week.

Sloan explained: “They said once for me to go to the back garden. The teachers told me to do that, that’s why I don’t go to the school play.” Her partner steps up to feel her absence and he takes her spot at the events.

Her tattoos aren’t just impacting her parenting since they have also prevented her from getting jobs and going to pubs in her local area.

“He’s [Luke] going tonight to the kids’ fayre as I can’t go there as I’m not wanted,” Sloan said. “I feel so jealous as I can’t go there and to the Christmas fayre as I know what they’re [teachers and parents] like towards me.”

Despite the school resistance, her boyfriend inks many of her ‘prison style’ tattoos at home.

Sloan holds off during the holidays. She added: “I’ll be selfish if I have [a tattoo] around Christmas. It’s their [the children’s] time, it’s not about me. I’ll go for the glory after that, I can’t wait to get back to normal.”

If she continues at this rate with the inking passion, she’ll be more present for the tattoo shop’s milestones than her child’s events.
