Hospital workers see strange things all the time but this might be the weirdest yet. Workers at a Tennessee hospital called the police when a “huge” beaver wandered into the facility and made its home under a piano.
The Bartlett Police Department wrote on Facebook that officers were called to St. Francis Hospital on December 25, 2023, after staff had spotted a “huge” beaver wandering around the facility. When officers arrived, they found the beaver hiding underneath a piano that was located in a hospital lounge.
“Things you do not want under your tree on Christmas morning… at 0645 this morning we received a call about a beaver loose inside of St. Francis. Officer Read made sure the beaver found a good home,” police wrote on Facebook.
The beaver was not injured by its actions. It was later safely removed from the hospital and returned to the wild.
