When you think of a house pet, most people tend to imagine a dog or a cat. Police in Texas were called to a park about a loose kangaroo that ended up actually being someone’s pet.
The Texarkana Police Department wrote on Facebook that officers received a call about a kangaroo sighting at Spring Lake Park in Texarkana, Texas. Originally, officers “admittedly thought ‘Yeah, right. That’s crazy!!'” but were shocked when they arrived at the park to spot the animal.
When officers showed up at the park, they discovered that there was indeed a kangaroo taking advantage of the nice weather. However, this wasn’t an escapee marsupial. They found that he was a pet named Rocky and “was there enjoying the park with his family.”
Officers were able to pose for a photo with Rocky before allowing the friendly animal to continue on its day.
