Man Accused of Attacking Teen After “Ding-Dong Ditch” Prank

Children and teenagers often love to play pranks on unsuspecting neighbors. A teen from Dover, Ohio, caught one of his neighbors at the wrong time, catching a bit of his wrath.

Timothy Drapcho was accused of attacking a teenager after the teen had rang the doorbell to his home and ran away, playing the prank ding-dong ditch. According to the Dover Police Department, they received a call from Drapcho around 10:46 p.m. He told police that he caught two boys ringing doorbells and running throughout the neighborhood.

He also threw in that he had one boy held down on his porch at the time of his call. Police confirmed that they could hear the teenager crying over the phone and told Drapcho not to assault him. Drapcho warned them that if they did not arrive to get the teen soon enough, he would take matters into his own hands.

When police arrived at the residence, the teen was no longer on the porch with Drapcho but he did have red marks around his chest and neck. The teenager also had bruising on his back and a footprint across his shirt.

Drapcho was charged with assault and unlawful restraint for the incident. He is scheduled to appear in New Philadelphia Municipal Court.
