Man Dressed as Pikachu Runs From Police Using Lawn Mower

Catching a rogue Pokémon can be tough without any Pokéballs at your disposal. A man dressed as Pikachu for Halloween attempted to make his escape from police using a lawn mower as his getaway vehicle.

Roachdale Police Department in Indiana spotted a wild Pickachu driving a modified lawnmower recklessly through the community’s small-town streets on Halloween night. Officers said the suspect also had a trailer in tow, while children dressed as ghosts and ghouls ran through the streets looking for candy.

The police department added more details about the pursuit on their Facebook page. “Deputy Boller attempted to make a traffic stop on the mower. Unfortunately, Pikachu turned around, flipped Deputy Boller off and continued on,” they wrote. They added that the chase went on for a few blocks, with the suspect even attempting to hit Deputy Boller’s vehicle.

After giving up on the chase, the citizen dressed as Pikachu was identified as a 19-year-old and officers arrived at his residence to make the arrest. He now faces two counts of resisting law enforcement.

“At this time, we believe Pikachu acted alone and no other Pokemon characters were involved in this incident,” Roachdale Police Department wrote. “However, we are not opposed to catching them all…”
