Moose Parks Itself Outside Utah Ranger Office’s Front Door

Moose can be intimidating creatures, especially if they decide to make their home right outside your door. The U.S. Forest Service has issued a warning for visitors to a ranger district office to be aware of a young bull moose trying to claim its territory in front of the building.

The U.S. Forest Service Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest posted on Facebook about the animal, saying that the moose has been lingering around the building for a handful of days. It’s even parked itself right outside the front door to take a nap.

Officials wrote online that the moose “has claimed the front door to the Evanston Ranger Station and the tree right in front.”

The post also advised any potential visitors to call ahead before approaching the office. This way, officials can make sure the area is clear before arrival. “He does hang around the building all day,” the post said.
