There’s nothing wrong with getting some sun at a nude beach until you get weird about it. A Florida man went to a nude beach with the hopes of arranging a sexual encounter while he was there.
Layton Paul Nauman was at Blind Creek Beach, a clothing-optional spot in Jensen Beach, Florida, when he tried to use unusual tactics to try to get noticed by the women in attendance. Complaints were made about Nauman, which caused a sheriff’s debut on foot patrol to investigate.
The 60-year-old was allegedly sitting in a recliner chair with a hat over his face while multiple rings and a metal chain were used for the “genital presentation.” A note was also displayed that asked passersby to “Please feel free to investigate! Gently.”
While the beach allows nudity, police reported that the pathways are accidentally frequented by “parents with children as well as other beachgoers” and that Nauman’s “scenario” was “unacceptable at a public beach.”
Nauman was arrested and charged with indecent exposure. He was booked into the county jail and released later that same day upon posting a $500 bond.
