Animals have a mind of their own, especially when it comes to taking items that aren’t theirs. A cheeky parrot went viral online after it stole an earpiece from a reporter that was on live television.
Journalist Nicolas Krumm was speaking about the rise of robberies in a neighbourhood for a report that was airing on the Chilevision channel. The ironic part was that during the live broadcast from Santiago De Chile, a parrot sitting on the reporter’s shoulder decided to steal one of his earphones and fly off with it.
The clip of the incident was shared on social media and captured the exact moment the parrot flew up to the reporter and snatched the earpiece away. Krumm was clearly shocked and attempted to get his AirPod back by extending his arms to grab the bird. By that point, the pesky parrot had already flown away.
While continuing his report despite the interruption, Krumm signaled a cameraperson to retrieve his earpiece. Luckily, the parrot did eventually drop the AirPod near the area they were filming and the crew was able to retrieve it.
