Passenger’s Suitcase Arrives in Poor Condition

When air travelers check-in their luggage, they hope to get it back at their destination in the same condition. The last thing they want is to see is their luggage spinning on the conveyor belt looking like it just survived the aftermath of five hungry wild animals.

On a Reddit forum, a man’s nephew shared a photo of a suitcase after landing at the destination. The image included didn’t show off a light scratch or tear. The suitcase was completely shredded following a flight journey. The damage was so extensive that people are blown away by this discovery.

One person joked: “Did the flight land or did they just throw it off on the way by?” It’s sad to see that even throwing it out of a flying plane will yield better results as one person pointed out: “Throwing it off would be in better shape. I think they just dragged it behind the plane on landing to help stop it.”

The airline isn’t always on the side of the customer as one person wrote, “Airline Spokesman: How do we know it didn’t always look like that?” It should be obvious that the uncle wasn’t fighting in a war with his luggage exposed to the bombings before checking in at the airport. However, proof is everything — make sure to click photos before boarding a plane so you don’t have to defend an outrageous scenario.

Fortunately, the suitcase did its job by protecting most of the valuables. He only lost a hairbrush, the heel of one shoe, and a grinder. The unannounced airline is reimbursing him for the suitcase and damaged items.
