Pizzeria Sets Up Gory Food Decor

Dining is a sensory experience that entices the eyes while leaving the taste buds drooling for more. Capital Pizza owners in Lubbock set up a Halloween showstopper decoration for their customers. The display swaps out traditional pizza toppings for body parts. It’s not edible so no one was munching on this tempting display of severed fingers, bloody noodles, and eyeballs.

The Halloween decoration is called the “The Jeffrey Dahmer Special” and it was inspired by serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. The crime scene contents are spewed onto the pizza platter.

Kiefer, the manager of Capital Pizza, said, “It being spooky season and the popularity of the Netflix series one of our waitresses came up with the idea and made the pizza and just put it up as a fun prop for Halloween.”

“It’s just a Styrofoam base. It’s got plastic prosthetics on it… eyeballs fingers, there’s an ear,” Kiefer added. “Ramen noodles are kind of the main thing here and some fake blood and then we, as we do with all of our pizzas, we topped it with a pepperoncini.”

The controversial pizza got people talking and it has received backlash. The restaurant manager assures customers that it’s just a setup for some lighthearted fun. “Like I said, it’s a fun prop, I suppose will become either famous or infamous. It’s only sitting up here for a limited time, then we’ll move into holiday decorations,” Kiefer said.

Be prepared for Santa’s plump body parts casually resting on some freshly baked dough.
