Sometimes animals end up in the most interesting places. A screech owl managed to get inside a Connecticut home and hid in a bookshelf filled with board games.
The West Hartford Police Department wrote on Facebook that an officer was called to a home about a screech owl that had broken into a West Hartford, Connecticut, home. An animal control officer and personnel from the A Place Called Hope rehabilitation center also responded to the call.
A photo of the animal was shared, which shows the curious owl perched on a shelf among some board games. Apparently, the owl wanted to have a bit of family fun when choosing a home.
“The owl was safely captured and has been rehabilitated by the rescue. As of this post, the owl is doing great and said to be released shortly,” the post said.
