Woman Accidentally Swallows $120,000 Heart-Shaped Chip

A bite into one chip can lead to regrets when snacking comes with a valuable prize of $120,000. A woman in the United Kingdom accidentally ate a heart-shaped crisp and it left her with regrets since it had the potential to fetch a hundred thousand.

The supermarket worker was speechless after realizing she what could have earned her a $120,000 prize if she waited a bit before snacking away.

The snack manufacturer Walkers had a social media announcement online page regarding a search for the heart-shaped chip. The competition required participants to identify the perfect heart-shaped crisp in their packet for a chance to win £100,000.

After three months, Dawn Sagar, a mom of two and a supermarket worker, stumbled upon a symmetrical heart-shaped crisp from the pack of Ready Salted crisps.

At the time, she was unaware of the competition and shared the picture with her friends then proceeded to eat it. Her friends were aware of the competition but it was too late — she had already eaten her golden ticket.

Sagar took it with a stride: “You know what, it is not the end of the world, is it? It would have made my life a little bit happier but I haven’t got the money so it doesn’t make a difference.”

Sagar added: “It doesn’t matter. I haven’t got that money in my life. It might have made me miserable.”

She serves as a cautionary tale for people who chew and then think. “Every time I serve somebody with a pack of Walkers ‘I’m like, check if you’ve got a heart and don’t eat it.'”

A Walkers spokesperson said: “We’re very sorry to hear of Dawn’s mishap, but all is not lost — heart-shaped crisps naturally occur in many packets of our Walkers crisps, and as the competition doesn’t close until midnight on 20th March, there’s still plenty of time to find the best heart shaped crisp and win £100,000.”
