Woman Called Police Over Bad Batch of Meth

Calling the police about something illegal that you’ve done isn’t the smartest move. An Indiana woman is facing a narcotics charge after she called 911 to report purchasing a bad batch of methamphetamine. She also told police that she wanted to file charges against her drug dealer.

On two occasions, police reported that Sarah Harris made “open line” calls to the police emergency number, which prompted an officer to visit her residence “to ensure that everyone was ok.” During a conversation Harris had with a police captain, she mentioned that her meth was “not what it was supposed to be.”

She further explained that the drug had left her feeling as if she was going to have a heart attack and then when she snorted a line of the meth, she felt “something different when it touched her skin and nostrils.”

Harris then requested that the drug be tested and also declared that she wanted to “turn the person in” who provided her the meth. She turned over contents of the small baggie, which carried a “red pig design” to police. This later “field-tested positive for methamphetamine.”

As a result of Harris providing the narcotics evidence, she was charged with meth possession, a felony that carries a maximum 30-month prison term.
