Conspiracy theorists are in for a treat as Russian lawmakers derive inspiration from the TV series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and accuse the Ukrainian troops of being drugged in American Biolabs to transform into “superhuman killing machines”.
Why accept responsibility when you can transfer the blame and passively point fingers? Large volumes of Russian troops may refuse to fight and hamper their equipment but the frustrating problem for the Russian officials is the fabricated drugs.
Konstantin Kosachev, the deputy speaker of Russia’s Federation Council and Irina Yarovaya, deputy chair of the State Duma, have investigated the Biolabs in Ukraine. In their investigations, they tested the blood of Ukrainian troops and found traces of diseases that may be a result of secret experiments.
Yarovaya said: “And we see: the cruelty and barbarity with which the military personnel of Ukraine behaves, the crimes that they commit against the civilian population, those monstrous crimes that they commit against prisoners of war, confirm that this system for the control and creation of a cruel murder machine was implemented under the management of the United States.”
In her argument, she claimed that the drugs wipe away human consciousness and allow the Ukrainian troops to function on primal, destructive instincts. Yarovaya argued that hepatitis A antibodies discovered in the Ukrainian prisoners’ blood are supportive evidence of an American Biolabs conspiracy.
Are the Ukrainian troops drugged to become heartless fighting creatures or are Russian officials spinning a tale after the frustrating setbacks? It may be the latter situation where the officials lack emotional maturity and accountability.
Unfortunately, bingeing Ninja Turtles will not fix the complex political turmoil.
