Trader Joe’s Recalls Two Kinds of Cookies After Detecting Rocks

If Trader Joe’s cookies feel a bit too hard and chewy, you might be munching on some rocks along with all of that sugar. The company voluntarily recalled two types of cookies after finding out that some of the cookies may contain rocks. To prevent any potential harm to the customers, the grocery store chain removed the product from their shelves.

The contaminated cookies were spread across the country and the corporation had to take immediate actions to ensure customer safety. The two types of cookies were Trader Joe’s almond windmill cookies and Trader Joe’s dark chocolate chunks and almond cookies.

The almond windmill cookies have an expiration date between October 19, 2023, and October 21, 2023.  Dark chocolate chunks and almond have an expiration date between October 17, 2023, to October 21, 2023.

Based on a statement on Trader Joe’s website: “Our supplier has notified us… that product with the sell-by date codes listed below may contain rocks.” The statement stated that all compromised products have been removed and destroyed from Trader Joe’s locations.

Customers are urged to avoid taking a bite out of them. They want customers to toss the cookies in the bin unless the goal is to test your teeth or end up with an upset stomach. The company is offering a full refund for the purchases.

Trader Joe’s is still investigating the cause of the problem and implemented measures to avoid having this issue repeat in the future. The company is committed to a high-quality of products so they are taking diligent steps to rectify the incident and maintain a good reputation.
